Best of 2014 Grooms

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!!!!  First, welcome to our new blog home!!!!  We are so excited about getting back to blogging on a new platform that showcases our work and shares our lives with all of you.  Also (and equally exciting) is that today is the first day of my favorite blog series of the year!!!!  Today is day one of the "UnPosed Best of 2014" posts!

2014 was an INCREDIBLE year for us in so many ways!  We got to work with some amazing couples, travel to some beautiful places and we both were able to go full-time with the business this year.  It has been an amazing time of growth for us and we're so excited for where the future will lead us!

To start this series off right, we wanted to start with our handsome grooms!  We had some fun-loving handsome guys that we got to photograph this year.  Our goal in every wedding is to get at least one totally amazing photo of the bride & groom alone.  We want to create one image that their children or families can look back on years later and say "Yup-that's totally him!"  

Keep in mind as we go through this series that with every single one of these posts there are SOOO many images we could share from every single wedding that we did this year, but we tried to be super selective to keep these posts to the photos that we are the MOST proud of from this year.  So without further ado, welcome to our Best of 2014 Series!

I LOVE when a groom can just be silly on his wedding day!  Weddings can be so stressful so a guy that can relax and have a great time just makes my heart smile.

Cook Fabrications Part 1 {Central IL Commercial Photographer}

Jeff and I met the Cook family very early on in our photo taking career. They are the family in the always-asked-about-photo-session (the family playing in the snow). We adore them! They are the neatest 4 people you could ever meet.

Gary makes signs for businesses around the area and early in February Nicole asked if we would take photos of his work for his new website. Here are some of the signs we worked on. Part 2 will be some of the fun photos we took at Gary's shop.

Jeff and I got to take pics of the most adorable 3 month old little girl a couple of weeks ago! We have been lucky enough to have done her newborn pics, and will be doing photos for her throughout her whole first year of life. I love being able to watch babies grow and change and this little darling is no exception. Who could say no to those eyes? Take a peek at them below!

Newborn Photo Shoot

Hi Everyone,

New Year = New Resolution : To keep this blog updated as much as possible. We've been relatively busy through these cold winter months, which has been a pleasant surprise for both Jeff and I. Most recently, I was lucky enough to get the privilege to photograph the first baby of two of my good college friends. He is an amazing little boy. He wasn't supposed to be born until around the 2nd week of February, but surprised his parents by coming on New Year's Eve instead. This little guy weighed in at a hefty 3.5 pounds when he was born, and was only 4 pounds when I got to take pics of him. Despite how tiny he may seem, he's got a personality to outmatch anyone his age! Thank you J and J for letting me take pics of little C. I cannot wait to watch him grow up!!!
